History of Nashua

Located near the center of the original Dunstable land grant, Nashua was named in 1836 and incorporated as a city in 1853.  Nashua, New Hampshire was a textile-producing city producing nearly 10 million yards of cotton cloth per year by the mid 1830's.  With six rail lines and upwards of five dozen trains entering the town on a daily basis, Nashua grew quickly and soon became well known for its quality textile products.  The textile industry waned after World War II and Nashua slowly diversified its industries and expanded for commercial plans for the future.  Today, Nashua is one of New Hampshire's centers for the high technology industry as well as countless retail outlets.

Nashua is one of the shining stars in southern New Hampshire’s crown.  Voted “Best Place to Live In America” in 1987 and 1997, Nashua is the pride of Hillsborough County.  If Nashua sounds like the home you’ve been looking for, please call Jim Miller RE/MAX Country Properties at (603) 801-3987.  We know all about Nashua or any other southern New Hampshire town you may be interested in learning more about.  Call us today for more information!
